A storz coupling is intended to connect hoses to each other or to fixed fittings. A storz coupling has a bayonet lock.

 When the cams (cam distance) of the Bayonet lock are the same, both couplings fit together. This is called NA (cam distance). Storz couplings are available with hose nozzle, an internal thread, an external thread and a compression ring nozzle. Storz end caps are also available to close the connection when it is not in use.
 In addition to the standard Storz couplings, there are many transition couplings available to connect an unsuitable cam distance. There are also special Storz keys available to make connecting easier.
