 Stainless steel compensators, also called stainless steel expansion pieces, are used for installations that are subject to movements. These movements can vary from very slow (thermal expansions or shrinkage movements) to very fast (vibrations). Thermal expansions can cause unfavorable material stresses in pipes.

 The installation of compensators prevents this unwanted material tension. Vibrations also cause tension and are the cause of disturbing noises in the working and living environment. The installation of compensators prevents this.
